Rens has a passion for coffee and bread. You can find more info about his small bakery on www.brodladan.com. On that website you can also find information about bread baking and coffee courses. 

Apart from drinking a lot of high quality coffees Rens roasted his first green beans on a popcorn popper in 2013. In 2025 we bought the first small roaster to see what we think about roasting and if our customers are happy with the results. In autumn the demand was too big for the small roaster and we invested in a 2.5KG Typhoon roaster. This roaster is able to produce up to 15 kg per hour. Apart from the bigger capacity the quality is better and it's more efficient.

Traditional “drum” roasters work on gas. Our Typhoon roaster is completely electric and works with a fluid bed technique. Hot air flows evenly around the beans, delivering consistent heat for balanced flavour development. Advanced software allows us to fine-tune temperature, airflow, and timing at every stage of the roast. The result is a perfect roast!
